Pole Vault 5-6, So. Walla Walla, Wash. At BYU FRESHMAN - (2009): Started the season with a fourth place vault at the UNM Cherry and Silver Invitational (3.30m)...placed ninth at the Bronco Invite with a vault of 3.51m...placed tenth at the Mountain State Games with a 3.51m vault...started outdoor season with a 3.51m vault at the Mark Faldmo Invitational, good enough for sixth...placed fourth at the Robison Invitational with a vault of 3.70m...concluded the season with a season-best vault of 3.85m at the BYU Invitational Tri-Meet.
Before BYU Prepped at Walla Walla High School ... was the track team captain as a senior and the teams MVP as a sophomore, junior and senior ... was the regional and district champion in the pole vault and regional champion in the triple jump in 2008 ... finished second in the pole vault at the state championships in 2008 ... ranked in the top 20 in the nation for the pole vault event as a senior ... set a school and personal record in the pole vault (12'0") as a senior ... played four years on the varsity soccer team and was named MVP as a senior ... was a member of the varsity basketball squad for three years ... finished first in her class with a 4.0 GPA ... named Blue Mountain Scholar Athlete of the year ... a member of the National Honor Society and Key Club.

Shanie has a lot more....not in here.....she is a wonder woman! She would have had higher than a 4.0 if they factored in her AP classes. She was MVP for soccer for her sophmore and junior years too. She was All Conference Defensive Player of the Year for Basketball her junior and senior year.....she was the fierce-est defensive player and could rattle the most calm opponent....everyone hated when she covered them!
