Pura Vida - Costa Rica

Pura Vida....the Costa Rican slogan....live the pure life! I love it! I loved the people of Costa Rica....they had sparkles in their eyes and a ready smile! They love their country and are so proud of it. Very laid back there....but I love to rush around....it is so relaxing to me! Nice to feel like they really loved having us visit their country.

I love the idea of living the pure life! That struck a chord with me....made me think.....wouldn't it be so great to live a life that was pure? But none of us will.....no, not one! I guess we have to go through a purifying process. .

I hated the milk there though!!! Yuck! And the meat! and and and and....but who cares about eating on vacation??? (I shouldn't keep saying this....I love to eat!.....it is to prove a point....that I am having so much fun that eating isn't a priority....which it normally is....proof of the level of fun-ness going on. )

It was so hot and humid there! Seemed like the air encircled you.....wrapped itself around your arms and body....I would walk and hold my arms out to feel it's caress. I ran on the beach in the mornings and wore my suit under one day to jump in the ocean after my run. How could I love the ocean so much???? Every day....even the first day....when we got there at 10:30 pm....I had to walk down to see the ocean....though it was so dark I couldn't see anything....but I could smell and taste the ocean....yes, taste!....and I walked in the cool sand (delicious!)....and the stars were so intense!.....I had a little Costa Rican security guard following me out to the beach with a flashlight....lol!). We did some all day tours away/inland, but I made sure I took a swim in the ocean after on those days....even if it was by myself.....Steve thought I was loco! I'm loco about salt water!! Anyway......PURA VIDA me amigos!!!
