Smother Mother

One rejected photo because Nate is being silly/sleepy.....so sick of 'the photo shoot'.

Do kids need space? Do they need to grow up and move away? Do some mamas follow their kids all over? .....aaaaaa not me!

We met up with the kids in Boise for Labor Day weekend. I gently....ohhhh so gently got the hint that Shanie and Nate needed to have their mom give them some space.....maybe they could have done 'funner things' at college this weekend if their mama hadn't insisted on them meeting her in Boise. (Boy, I am glad my mom wasn't as crazy as me! I would have gone nutso if she followed me all over college!)
Nate hiked Timpanogas Mtn. the night before they came....started at midnight (full moon) and ended in the morning and drove to Boise....ummm....I mean Shanie drove and Nate slept. Shanie would have hiked too but she has her track physical/quad tests on Tuesday....so wanted to be prepared....not worn out.

I tortured the family with photos for our C-mas pictures.....here are some. I drove them all crazy with all sorts of poses and locations for pictures, but then we laughed as we looked at the pictures together. Last night with the kids, I stayed up and chatted with them until I couldn't bear it any longer.....started dosing. Agony either way....not sleeping or missing out on listening to them! Dad? He fell asleep hours before 'our chat' even began! We are getting old! Soooo blasted fun to talk with them.....but pure misery to drive home without them! Just three of us in the car! Okay okay I will try.....try to get my own life.

Those are some fun picts! I think it is great that you love to hang out with your kids. For some reason they get really fun I think when they grow up. At least now that my brothers are all starting to grow up, it is getting so fun to hang out with them!!!
