Cmas 2009

Christmas was sooo much fun with the kids here! They are so good at playing together. No one but Nick really wanted to do the Nativity story....that is, dressing up and acting it out. We all decided we should do it anyway and the kids were soooo funny! We used Precious/cat as Baby Jesus and the kids were silly and cute. Nate kept trying on different costumes and posing. They held up 'Baby Jesus' and started chanting like in "Lion King". Nick was the donkey and he was bouncing Shanie around on his back.

Christmas Eve we went visiting an older lady in our ward.....she is 98 and can hardly eat any more. We had such a good time visiting with her and she was worried the whole time that her hair wasn't 'done up'.

Our much loved next door neighbor lady died Cmas afternoon. We saw the ambulances over there, they are there often because she has been having a hard time breathing. We loved this lady! I would send Nick over to visit her when he felt lonely or got bored and he would ask her if she had anything for him to do....usually she just wanted to talk. We rake their leaves and shovel their walks.....what a great opportunity for my kids to learn about loving their neighbors! Her/Mrs. Spanish's husband is suffering and in shock. I'm sure for Mrs. Spanish it was neat to be able to see all her family on Cmas day and then see her family that have passed on later in the day. But....hard for her family that was left behind! We will really miss her....what a great lady she was....always kind and lovely!
